Congratulations Saegertown!

The Chicken is resting comfortably back in the club house.

It was a close match for sure, coming right down to the wire.  Black Ash had an early lead with a final team score of 1,105 and 24x (aka 24 perfect bullseye hits), but thanks to the rescue efforts of our later arriving shooters, Saegertown pulled off the final play and scored with 1,144 and 44x.

The Top Overall / Top Gun award went to Sean Spencer with an overall score of 296-15x (great shooting Sean!)

The Top Centerfire went to Joshua Bargar with a score of 145 and 6x (great shot!)

This year we had a tie for Top Rimfire between Black Ash’s Rich Hallstrom and our very own Ayshea Heckman with a score of 146 and 5x (nice shooting!)

A big shoutout to our team for a fantastic job this season!  You guys all rock!

Thanks to the hard work of Dan and Sean Spencer, Jim Taylor and Joe Groner, the Pistol range target backers, frame and backstop have been rebuilt and dirt added to the back stop.  The heavy use of recent months had taken its toll on the backers and it was decided to replace the backers with some new ones that are expected to last for the coming hunting seasons and well into Winter and Spring.

The Pistol Club has honored its founder and recently deceased leader Ron Foulk by dedicating a memorial plaque and renaming the Pistol Range the Ron Foulk Pistol Range in his memory.

Ronnie passed
in 2021, a victim of the Covid Pandemic.  He started and led the Pistol Club for the past several years.  He was always one of the top shooters in the Very Informal Pistol League and dedicated much effort to introduce new shooters to the joys of learning the safe accurate and fun skills needed to fully enjoy handgun use.
